"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
A sister of José Ponce Félix or Jesús Alexander Sánchez Félix aka El Ruso, a Sinaloa Cartel operator from the Mayo Zambada faction, was detained by members of the State Citizen Security Force (FEDC). The woman identified by Zeta, the weekly news portal, as Xochitl Harumi was detained during an operation carried out at kilometer 57, a rural community located on the border between the Mexicali Valley and San Luis Río Colorado.
According to Zeta, this community is considered one of the strategic points of refuge for the criminal organization headed by El Ruso. The weekly Zeta added that two other people were also arrested, one of whom was presumably a companion of the woman, who does not have a criminal record in Baja California.
However, it is alleged that she was in charge of guarding weapons belonging to the criminal faction. El Ruso has fought violent battles for control of territory with other factions of the Sinaloa Cartel of Los Chapitos, such as Los Ninis. Currently, the area of dispute between Los Chapitos and their allies from the Arrelano Felix Cartel and Los Rusos is just a few kilometers from the US border. In addition they also have to deal with some members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel who maintain their power in certain areas of Tijuana.
Los Rusos have a deal with CJNG? Is that correct? Ruso is with Mayo and MZ Flechas are fighting CJNG in Zacatecas. How is that possible? It's gotta be a mistake. There is also a peace treaty right now between Mayo and Los Chapitos. Does that mean Rusos conflict with Chapitos is over?

DeleteAt the end of the day, there are rumors that Salazars broke away from Chapitos every few years. Same thing with rumors that Rusos lost the backing of Mayo.
