"Sol Prendido" for Borderland Beat
Caborca is one of the 72 municipalities of Sonora. It has just over 89,000 inhabitants and borders the state of Arizona in the United States. This place has been extremely important for several generations of the drug trade due to its drug entry routes to the United States.
That is why its geography is so important. From there they send marijuana, heroin, and now fentanyl. Along with methamphetamines according to official reports from both countries. This municipality is disputed by Los Chapitos, El Chapo's sons, and the Caborca Cartel.
The latter is commanded by Rafael Caro Quintero, who was recaptured in July 2022. Authorities have identified Jose Gil Caro Quintero, nephew of El Narco de Narcos, as the leader of the criminal organization. The man you are seeing on the screen. Among the allies of this criminal group is the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. Nothing more and nothing less. And the Juarez Cartel.
Why do they insist rafa runs this when he him self disowned this part of the family get your info right
ReplyDeleteDon't come here and cry you should find somewhere else to go and cry. may I suggest reddit?
DeleteExactly. Also, chapitos and cazadores took Caborca. Now they (cazadores vs chapitos/pelones/8)are fighting each other for Caborca. There is no cazadores alliance with agua prieta Paderes/m100 either. Sonora informativo got that wrong and keeps getting it wrong.
DeleteCDs fangirls in denial.
Delete10:52 put your skirt away and do some research

Delete6:55 wym he disowned that part of the family?
DeleteRafa is still on good terms with jose gil. But cadete is another story. Cadete snitched on Rafa and some say he is also responsible for the recapture of Rafa. El R that was in charge if caborca was captured in Guadalajara. But he had already lost caborca. The jose gil operation is in southern states of mexico (quintana roo). Sonora Informativo fucking up recently with the info. Especially the Paredes/M100 alliance with Cazadores. Its non existent.
Delete9:31 Who currently controls Caborca? I would assume Cazadores since they seem to be the group on the ground in that region. Can they secure an alternate source of supply of drugs now that they've rebelled or went independent of Chapitos? Does the same apply to Los Salazar and the plaza/s they control?
DeleteCaborca WAS controlled by cazadores/pelones. Now they are fighting. Pelones still dominate the town of caborca. Cazadores still in altar. But dont patrol the streets like pelones in caborca, maybe because altar is smaller. Most current fighting has been in the desert between caborca and sonoyta. The govt allows them to kill each other and they dont do anything to stop them (all of them). They want someone to win quickly to continue taking their cut. Literally last week there was 2-3 “battles” that lasted more than an hour. You could hear the 50 cals in the outskirts of caborca. But govt was on lunch break
DeleteI heared an interview where Escorpion 20 is saying how the Caborca cartel moved their operations to CDMX and Cancun .
ReplyDeleteIt seems like that is the case, but now they turned on each other and another war has begun
Delete11:16 there is alot of misinformation going around the Sonora war . Caborca cartel is no more in Sonora

ReplyDeleteThis is what is happening in Sonora nowadays.
That happened in maycoba sonora. La linea from chihuahua controls that town but sources are claiming it was gente nueva from agua prieta. Could've been either group
Deletewhat about Obregon and La Plaza?
ReplyDeleteFeds in Oregon seized 1.4 metric tons of liquid heroin linked to Mexico. https://www.yahoo.com/news/feds-seize-1-4-metric-160504536.html
ReplyDeleteSounds like Chapo Isidro's lines to me
ReplyDeletethey are one of the only groups, but the only that has that area for decade or two, and still sells heroin
Caborca is an agricultura área with a lot of rich farmers, beautiful homes, etc, a really pretty town. Its a shame all this war. I spent time there, good food, they grow every fruit and vegetable even grapes. What is going to happen there? Its a lot less humid than peñasco which is brutal in the summer.
ReplyDeleteThe caborca cartel is gone. La chapiza run the whole municipality now and if anything they will dispute it with los cazadores
ReplyDeleteGuaymas? Empalme? Obregón?
DeleteI heard caborca cartel even operates in juarez
