Criminals vandalized four and, according to witnesses, used public transportation units

They attack the C5 cameras again in Reynosa

Four video surveillance cameras were vandalized yesterday morning at different points, mainly at the exit to Monterrey, reported state authorities, who responded after the demolition of three posts.

The events began around 7:30 a.m. yesterday in front of the Vista Alta, Loma Real and San Valentín neighborhoods, where elements of the Secretariat of National Defense, State Guard and Investigative Police arrived.

Although they didn’t indicate whether they managed to secure some of the vehicles with which they knocked down the video surveillance cameras, it emerged that a public transport truck from the Senda company and a tractor-trailer were used, the company name of which was not revealed.

The first of the cameras to be vandalized was the one located at the entrance to the Loma Blanca neighborhood; Subsequently, a camera located in the San Valentín neighborhood and finally another at the access to the Loma Alta neighborhood, indicated investigating authorities, who became aware of the damage by initiating the corresponding Investigation folder.

Witnesses indicated that within minutes of the passing of some National Guard patrols, criminals began to vandalize the video surveillance cameras, including several occasions when they impacted the heavy vehicles in order to knock down the poles.

Despite the mobilizations by the authorities, no people were arrested nor did they report the seizure of any of the vehicles used, but the investigating authorities already had the vehicle numbers of the units which belong to some companies.

During the next few hours the authorities will announce exactly the number of damaged cameras, but initially they indicated that there were four places where they became aware of the damage.
