The detained man is linked to acts of violence in the state

Members of the Zacatecas Immediate Reaction Forces, the Mexican Army and the National Guard managed to locate and capture a priority objective. 

In a joint operation carried out in the municipality of Zacatecas, authorities arrested an individual allegedly linked to acts of violence in the state, who called himself the leader of a criminal group dedicated to drug trafficking.

Thanks to intelligence work, members of the Zacatecas Immediate Reaction Forces, the Mexican Army and the National Guard managed to locate and capture a man identified as Michel Ángel “N”, 43 years old, who had been identified as a possible generator of violence.

During the arrest, 42 thousand pesos in cash, around 200 grams of marijuana and two cell phones were seized from his possession.

The man identified himself as the person in charge of distributing drugs in Zacatecas for the criminal group known as the Northeast Cartel.

As a result of these events, the man was transferred and placed at the disposal of the relevant authorities to carry out the corresponding investigations and determine his legal situation. In addition, the alleged illicit substances and other elements were handed over as evidence.
