At least thirteen people were murdered, eleven of them in two massacres, which occurred on May 23, 2024, in the municipality of Acapulco, Guerrero. The first of them occurred on Doctor Ignacio Chávez Street, which connects Universidad Avenue with Costera Miguel Alemán, in the Magallanes neighborhood of Acapulco de Juárez.
At around 5:40 p.m. on May 23, 2024, five people, including a woman, were murdered. In addition, a teenager was injured. Witnesses cited by local media told authorities that two armed men attacked their victims outside the commercial establishment, located inside the “La Diana” market.
The three dead men and the teenager were left lying on the sidewalk, where they were playing a slot machine. While inside the store a woman was left lying, who apparently was a worker at the business. The two attackers fled on foot towards Universidad Avenue.
Later, the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) of Guerrero confirmed, through a statement, that five people died during the attack and that one was injured. Likewise, he said that he began an investigation file against whoever is responsible for the crime of homicide and injuries.
Around 8:45 a.m. on May 23, 2024, in two different points of the town of El Treinta, in the rural area of Acapulco, six men were found murdered and their bodies were dumped on the Mexico-Acapulco federal highway.
The first two bodies were found on the federal highway, in front of Cuauhtémoc High School. The other four bodies were located on a soccer field, 300 meters from the initial discovery. All the victims had gunshot wounds and were recovered up by their families.
The Secretary of Public Security (SSP) of Guerrero later reported that State Police personnel went to the scene, “without signs of any incident being located.” The elements visited the aforementioned points of said town, including the aforementioned area, on the Acapulco-Mexico federal highway.
Additionally, during the early hours of Thursday, May 23, 2024, a dismembered man was found inside a 50-liter pot, in the Juan R. Escudero neighborhood, in the upper part of Ejido Avenue, between 12th and Emiliano Zapata streets. , after an emergency call to the number 911 was made. The human remains were transferred to the facilities of the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO).
Around 4:00 p.m. on May 23, 2024, a taxi driver was shot to death outside the Social Readaptation Center (CERESO) in Las Cruces. The crime occurred between Del Fútbol and Coral streets, in the Libertadores neighborhood.
In addition, from around 10:00 p.m. on May 22, 2024 and until 2:00 p.m. the following day, residents of the communities of San Jerónimo Palantla and Nuevo Amanecer, in the municipality of Chilapa de Álvarez, had an armed confrontation, according to Jesús Plácido Galindo, leader of the Emiliano Zapata Indigenous and Popular Council (Cipog-EZ).
The Secretariat of Public Security of Guerrero reported that the State Police, in joint actions with the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), the National Guard and the State Attorney General's Office, maintain a presence in the town of San Jerónimo Palantla, where they located three vehicles, three homes and the Municipal Police Station on fire. However, in these events there were no injuries or deaths.
On the other hand, before 6:00 a.m. on May 23, 2024, three young people were found bound and executed, next to a vacant lot on Adrián Castrejón Street, in the Yohuala neighborhood, east of the municipal seat of Iguala de la Independencia, near the highway to Cuernavaca.
The young people, between 18 and 20 years old, were left in a row face down, all three had their faces covered with adhesive tape, hands tied behind their backs and with the coup de grace in the head, as well as other gunshots in their bodies.
On top of them, a piece of cardboard was left with a message written by “you know who”, with the initials FG, apparently from the Guerrero Federation, in which they accused the young people of supposedly belonging to an alleged gang of robbers and motorcycle thieves in said municipality.
The stiff in the 50 liter aluminum pot was cooked up menudo estilo menudo.
ReplyDeleteDoes the 🦎 have a plausible alibi? 🤔
I pray for the 2 period 🦎 lizard is ok.
DeleteAlcapulco is becoming a shooting gallery. But I thought 🤔, the president of Mexico had said "the cartels respect the citizens". Apparently not don't know why that president offers outlandish coco comments glad he is leaving office.
😸
I think Lizard was being metichi/nosey El la tienda one of the bullets sliced his tail Green blood 😷 oozed out but the good thing he will grow a tail back.
DeletePoor lizard he should move to Zacatecas oh wait people getting murdered there too, ok then Tijuana oh no people getting murdered and kidnapped there too.😷
DeleteMexico is gripped by evil spirits.
ReplyDeleteMexico is suffering from a bad case of ELMOitis. Let's give these killers a hug. You have to remember that these killers are human too.
Delete8:57 Detroit go figure. Stop making a fool out of yourself bro. We’re at the conclusion of his 6 yrs and you still believe that.
DeleteBlaming Elmo for the past 5 decades of corruption and collusion with organized crime is ridiculous. One can even make the case that bootleggers in the 1920s during Prohibition allowed Mexican criminal entities to flourish and expand to a major enterprise. People also seem to forget Felipe Calderons (aka FeCal) handling of the country during the violent cartel wars of the 2010s, not to mention the criminal groups who try to emulate the Zs after their downfall
Delete12:53 who f is blaming Elmo for the last 5 decades?
DeleteHe is being blamed for his softness to the Cartels in his 6 years. 5 decades you make me laugh 😂.
Calderon was fighting the cartels and winning. TV Azteca propaganda stepped in and convinced the people the violence would stop if they voted back in the PRI party guy Nieto who would make peace by being nice to the cartels. The Cartels grew like never before and became worse, much worse, and continued getting worse every year since then.
Deleteyou people who cry for war worry me.. like i know cartel bad but.. government declaring war on its own people also bad. the drug trade revenue is economically necessary. even if you could magically end that by flipping a switch, you would have insanely widespread poverty and hunger.
DeleteAcapulco used to be one of the top tourist destinations for years. Now it's in the toilet, like so many other beautiful cities in Mexico. It's people victimized.
ReplyDeleteIt is has become a place where those who try to turn things around, honest working people and political candidates, are being hunted down and executed.
Can someone please explain to me what cartel first began to ramp up the violence in the beginning of its slide?
Acapulco still closest beach to 35,000,000 chilangos, they have to go SOMEWHERE on vacay.
Deleteit's mostly cockroaches killing cockroaches, the rest of the victims being greedy mom&pop shopkeepers who are too selfish to share their winnings with the mob!
That hurricane last year took aca down into a real pit of hell for a while. Hard to come back from something like that with a pervasive criminal element too.
Delete9:46 imagine that, having to share your minimal profit margin with the government and the criminals. Why even work, you'll be a victim of your own success.
DeleteMexico is gripped by greed stupidity and a lack of evolution
ReplyDeleteMan you can't go to a grocery store in Alcapulco because you end up getting shot for no fukn reason. Imagine the mother sent the kid go get queso and a Pepsi, the mother is waiting and waiting, the kid never comes back.
DeleteNuff said!!!!
9:42
DeleteHe prolly was a snotty little kid, anyway 😀
@09:42 sounds like Chicago, New York, LA, or Detroit
Delete7:51 didn't you read the article it happened in a store in Alcapulco where Lizard boy lives.
DeleteAcapulco is WAY smaller than those U.S. cities you compare to.
Delete1100
DeleteMillion lost souls in the metropolitan area
Lizard boy is KING
DeletePrecisely. They most definitely failed to evolve. Why keep excavating in the vast permafrost regions of the arctic for the remnants of neanderthals, when they can be viewed alive and doing somewhat well, in their last remaining but natural habitat down south.😅
DeleteDeath casts a long dark shadow over the native warriors of Costa Grande and Costa Chica..
DeleteAcapulco's great, as long as you don't mind agua negra, raw sewage from hurricane-damaged hotels, flowing in little rivulets through the beach and into the water everybody swims in..
DeleteShit runs downhill..
The mexico City tourists remain mostly unfazed by it all, they understandably wanna block out anything that spoils the fun, but it's disgusting and unhealthy..
This town is going to the dogs..
🏝️🐕🏝️
I imagine that the three shot in the head look like the uruapan massacre in 2013. Ak-pulco lives up to its name again!

ReplyDeleteNino it's Mexico. Word of the wise don't take any bullets with you to the Bahamas you get caught, 5 years in the pokey.
DeleteIn the Bahamas deal, the moron tourist will soon find out the real meaning of pokey
DeleteWatch out for the bird flu

DeleteThe 'criminality' is in their aztec ancestral blood, same as chicago's criminal inhabitants enslaving n selling their own peoples.
ReplyDeleteMy ancestral blood sports a bit of royalty, I'm a direct descendant of the Earl of Nottingham, but I'm a good sport, and enjoy spending time with my social inferiors. 👑
ReplyDeletewhat about the massacres in chiapas recently??
ReplyDeleteBut it's all ok. These murders happen away from the tourist area!! What a joke! Visit Cancun or Acapulco at your own risk!!
ReplyDeletePerfectly safe for tourists if they mind their own goddam business and avoid contested plazas..
ReplyDeleteMaybe could get winged in crossfire or case of mistaken identity, but you could also get run over by a drunken bus driver while you're crossing the street..
Better to die on your feet than live on your knees..
