The senator-elect of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), Omar García Harfuch, thanked the virtual president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, for appointing him as the next head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC).
Through his official X account, formerly Twitter, the former candidate for Mexico City's candidacy acknowledged the elected candidate and highlighted the honor he and his team feel to be part of the federal cabinet as of October 1st.
"Thanks to the president-elect @claudia_shein for the trust placed in me and in the team that I have the honor to lead."
Likewise, the supercop advanced that he will work in "absolute coordination" with the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar) to continue to ensure the welfare of the population.
"We will work in absolute coordination with @sedenamx and @semar_mx, institutions that have always watched over the well-being of Mexicans," it could be read on Thursday, July 4.

- The Ministry of the Interior (Segob) will be in the hands of Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez.
- The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) will be in the hands of Mario Delgado Carrillo.
- The Ministry of Welfare will continue in the hands of Ariadna Montiel Reyes.
- The Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) will be in the hands of Omar García Harfuch.
