Luis "N", alias R8, alleged security chief of Aureliano Guzmán el Guano, and three other men were captured in clashes yesterday, Monday, on the borders of Sinaloa and Durango.
El Guano is the brother of Joaquín el Chapo Guzmán.
National media reported that the four detainees were transferred to Mexico City by elements of the Army and the National Guard.
The operations began yesterday morning and there were confrontations between San José del Llano, Badiraguato, in Sinaloa; and in El Durazno, in Tamazula, Durango.
Unofficially it was reported that some people were killed, but authorities have not confirmed this.
Following the capture, the four gunmen were taken to the Culiacán airport and flown to Mexico City.
It is not yet known whether weapons were also seized.
Uncle Sam is pressuring the Mexicans to clean up the Guzman clan. After him it will be the Chapitos. God bless the USA!

ReplyDeleteDidn’t Ovidio take Batopito from Guano? I think that Guano has lost a few plazas to Chapitos (Escuinapa, Batopito, Badiraguato, etc.) starting in 2015/2016. I’d guess it was fallout from the murder of Ernesto Guzman Hidalgo, who was more closely associated with Los Chapitos.
