Five members of the National Guard stationed in the municipality of Tepatitlán were arrested and are under investigation after they were seized 48,820 dollars and 163,500 pesos in local currency, as well as weapons and ammunition that do not belong to the institution.

Preliminary reports indicate that five thousand dollars were seized from non-commissioned officer Héctor Ubaldo N, another non-commissioned officer Pedro N was found with a 9 mm caliber pistol and a BB gun, officer Jaime Francisco N was found with six thousand pesos, and non-commissioned officer Nancy Fabiola N was found with five thousand dollars and three thousand 500 Mexican pesos. None of them could prove the legal origin of the funds.
