Culiacán, Sinaloa.- Pickup trucks, long weapons, and lifeless bodies were seen thanks to a drone shot in a field located in the town of Plan de Oriente known as ejido El 12 where a confrontation between military personnel and armed civilians took place on the night of Monday, October 21, heading to Sanalona east of Culiacán.
The preliminary result of the operation is 19 civilians killed and one male arrested, identified as Edwin Antonio alias “El Max” whom the federal government identifies as “El Oso” leader of a criminal cell and priority target of the armed forces.
Tour of the confrontation zone
The Newsmen made a tour of the epicenter of the confrontation and when we were driving on the highway to Sanalona, upon reaching the height of the town of Plan de Oriente we turned left onto a dirt road called “Unión” which connected to a country house, but 100 meters before there was a checkpoint of the Mexican Army Special Forces which did not allow access to said place, where the lifeless bodies of at least three men were seen and long weapons lying next to them, in addition to three recent model pickup trucks with the doors open.
The campsite has two other rooms in which the Forensic Medical Service personnel entered and left, where it is presumed that the rest of the bodies of the alleged criminals who were killed could be found.
The place has been guarded by military personnel since the morning of Tuesday, October 22, and at least three SEMEFO panels are carrying out the removal of the bodies, of which there are presumed to be 19, but the federal authorities have not provided official information.
