On October 12, 2024, banners signed by CJNG were found in Cotija, Michoacán, making threats against Mexican Army General Ernesto Joaquin Geminiano Jimenez for failing to live up to agreements both parties agreed upon. However, the Jalisco Cartel-New Generation group deltas criminal cell published a video on social media platforms denying responsibility for the banners found in Cotija, Michoacan.

We didn’t place that narco message or deliver it there. Nor do we attack. For the elements from the Sedena, our fight isn’t against the government. But it is with Poncho La Quiringua, Wicho from Los Reyes, Maniaco, and his gang of thieves, kidnappers, cowards, and murderers of innocent civilians.
The general did a good job of removing that corrupt Lieutenant Navidad. He worked for you guys, abducted and handed over to the municipal police of Cotija three young men. It was on behalf of the Los Reyes police department that they were detained and turned over to be killed. But now Wicho, you filthy cowardly fuck, have decided to produce this narco message.
You traitor. Have some respect and show your face. You’re no longer wanted in Los Reyes or any other place for that matter. General Ernesto Joaquín Geminiano Jiménez, we don’t have anything to do with that narco message left behind…

In Zacatecas generally the population does prefer flechas (MZ). Monte Escobedo - Tepetongo is mz 99%. Huejucar is in between. Ng periodically kidnaps and does all those headline things in Huejucar. Recently they've been kidnapping from a family that's lived there for generations. They had some loose ties to now defunct gangs. The newer family members are mostly innocent but some of the men played the alucin role. They went around under the guise of being ng and robed their own communities including family. Ng did respond by entering but mz wasn't going to have them stationed that close. Since they know the family does have access to some wealth ng keeps hitting them. To mz Huejucar doesn't have enough strategic value one factor being that it is Jalisco so there's different government to deal with. To ng it's also doesn't have it and that should tell you they don't run Jalisco. Huejucar people will tell you they want mz to run their municipality. And whenever something happens there the charro chorizeños will blame mz ignoring the contradiction. Similar scenarios play out through several regions but it's easier to just say "Pura 🍕 ALV"
