CSRL Officer Arrested After Shootout in Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato

After a shootout in Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato, the National Guard and Army captured Norma Idalia, “La Italiana", an associate of top ranking CSRL leader Karem Lizbeth “La Señora”.

According to N Mas Noticias, after encountering an stolen fuel storage site while patrolling in the countryside of Juventino Rosas, the National Guard and Army were shot at by the group, who were captured after a brief shootout.

Among the arrested was, Norma Idalia, who local press is reporting to be a high ranking associate of Karem Lizbeth “La Señora”, the sister of imprisoned CSRL boss José Antonio Yépez Ortiz “El Marro”. This has not been officially confirmed by the government, but AM Noticias reported this based on a comment from someone familiar with the investigation.

In addition to the seven alleged CSRL members, authorities captured methamphetamine, firearms, five trucks, and a large tractor trailer used for moving stolen fuel.
