Large Cache of Tactical Gear Captured in San Marcos, Guerrero

By "El Huaso" for Borderland Beat

Government forces arrested two men in San Marcos, Guerrero in possession of a large quantity of tactical gear, including balistic plates, plate carriers, and firearms on December 9th.

A photograph of the seizure shows the two captured men standing in front of 74 plate carrier vests, 40  ballistic plates, and nine firearms. The tactical gear is neatly packaged, suggesting it may have just arrived, and was being stored at a weapons cache for a criminal group.

While firearms in Mexico are mostly trafficked south from the United States, tactical gear such as those captured here are unrestricted for purchase in Mexico, and can be sourced from online retailers such as MercadoLibre.

Ballistic plates and other tactical gear can be easily purchased online in Mexico.

The cache was located in San Marcos, a small town around 20 kilometers inland off the southern coast of Guerrero state, a region known as la Costa Chica. This region is used by criminals to receive cocaine shipments from south America. Much of this is focused in the Port of Acapulco, according to InSight Crime.

    1. Excellent work brother keep it up . In Luis Moya Zacatecas cjng sent over 30 hitmen and they entered through Aguascaliente. La Operativa MZ was already waiting for them . They killed 15 cjng members and the authorities went after the ones that got away and arrested them.

    3. I have always said that every presidential term has a favorite cartel . Under Fox and Calderon it was CDS . In my opinion under Peña Nieto and AMLO it was CJNG. What if under Claudia it's MF . Seems like he everywhere right now .

    4. 11:20 I see the point in your comment. Also if there was an administrator where Mencho would either be killed or captured I believe it would be this one with Supercop. With his ego he probably hasn't forgotten the botch hit CJNG did on him .

    6. Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this pretty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time; and all our yesterdays have lighted fools
      The way to dusty death
      Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, then is heard no more
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and the fury, signifying nothing.

    4. This website mostly cares about Sinaloa cartels, 6-7 people are killed in Tijuana per day, but no coverage, this platform feels like the rest of Mexico is safe.

Tijuana a pretty big town, maybe 6-7 murders aren't that much, statistically speaking, but you're right, not a peep about T.J. on BB lately 🤫..
The 6-7 murders a day don't make Tijuana "unsafe" for it's inhabitants, the killings are almost always internecine ajustes de cuentas among the scumbags, keep in your own lane, ignore the horror, and hope it doesnt affect your life!

Also don't forget the credit line is given at the end of the article.

    12. Maybe BB doesn't really have any sources in TJ so maybe they are being careful what they post. Its very rarely you get much fake news on BB they vet there's sources pretty good.
