The patron founder of Los Zetas and former leader of the Gulf Cartel, Osiel Cárdenas Guillén has been returned to Mexico after serving his US sentence and was quickly re-arrested by Mexican authorities.
Cárdenas Guillén once led the feared Gulf Cartel before he was arrested and extradited to the United States in 2007.
US Homeland Security Department confirmed in its social media accounts Monday that Cárdenas Guillén had been returned after serving 14 years in US custody, most of his 25-year US prison sentence.
He is a Mexican citizen, so presumably he was deported. He was handed over at the San Diego-Tijuana border crossing.
A Mexican federal official who was not authorized to be quoted by name said Cárdenas Guillén had immediately been taken into custody in Mexico on drug, organized crime and money-laundering charges.
The official said Cárdenas Guillén was being held at the country’s top maximum-security Altiplano prison just west of Mexico City.

This is one I don’t get
ReplyDeleteI know Eduardo Arellano wasn’t and isn’t going to get back in the game but Osiel is a witness and a snitch and he’s headed right back into Mexico
Was this part of his own plan or the US just burning him? As a witness he can stay in the US if he wanted to. Look at Mayito, Damaso, Vicente
He had threatened the two US agents in Mexico, that may have something to do with it. There may have been some agreement too when he was extradited back then.
DeleteSo he's going to do more years in mexico now?
ReplyDeleteWhy would they let him out after ‘most’ of his sentence? That guy has hundreds if not thousands of bodies on his head. This isn’t a f-cking hit and run!!
ReplyDeleteAnd how did he get less than life?!
ReplyDeleteTiene sus dias contados en Mexico.
ReplyDeleteOsiel was a cooperating witness for Uncle Sam. Why did they extradite him? This is a death sentence.
ReplyDeleteThis is Osiel decision to return to Mexico, he was under witness protection given free housing and monthly allowance, just like V. Zambada, Mamito, etc.
DeleteNo he wasn’t lol he was fighting his deportation he loss and got deported. Y’all keyboard warriors say anything on these blogs lol
Delete8:21 Detroit, OCG cooperated with the USA to not get a life sentence like his predecessor Juan García Ábrego. Back in the early 2000's an extradition was to be feared, now the "Capos" will snitch on their own father's and immediate family and get a big time pass. OCG if I'm not mistaken was extradited on the same plane as "El Güero Palma" or "El JT". I think it was the former.
DeleteBetween his prison release and removal to México he was receiving his instructions. Ponte verga y arregla todo el puto desmadre que empezaste con tus ojetes. El negoció es para ganar no para andar de muerto de hambre.
Viva México cabrones!
Let me guess, he did his time like a "champ" LOL.
