Singer Gerardo Ortiz's Former Manager Killed at a Restaurant in Plaza Miyana Polanco CDMX

Jesus Perez Alvear, Gerardo Ortiz's former manager, was murdered in a El Bajío restaurant in Polanco. He had ties to CJNG. Less than a month ago he was being targeted by federal authorities. He pled guilty last year to conspiring to launder CJNG drug money.

The man known “Chucho Pérez” is also linked to the attack against Omar García Harfuch several years back, Harfuch is the recently appointed Public Security Secretary for Mexico.




In June 2023, Jesus Pérez Alvear entered into a plea agreement with U.S. authorities in which he claimed to have conspired to carry out financial transactions with properties related to the CJNG.


The producer was also the owner of the Gallística Diamante or Ticket Premier promotion company, which was designated in April 2018 as part of the financial network in charge of laundering income from the cartel headed by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, “El Mencho.”




Lunchtime Killing

At the El Bajío restaurant at in Polanco, surveillance cameras showed where two gunmen wearing motorcycle helmets entered and approached a table where there Plaza Miyana were three people seated, they shot directly at the former music promoter/manager and then fled, allowing the others to leave.



US Travel Alert

The United States Embassy in Mexico issued an alert to its citizens following the murder at the shopping mall in the Polanco area of ​​Mexico City. “The U.S. Embassy reminds U.S. citizens that the Department of State’s Travel Advisory for Mexico City is classified as Level 2: Use Extreme Caution Due to Crime.”

  3. This guy had a huge target on his head. He accepted a plea agreement with U.S government admitting working with CJNG. That's a big no no in the cartel world. After this what does he do? Go to Mexico where he can be killed easily. Not a very bright guy. He should've gone to any other country not named Mexico and changed his name. Lay low. Blend in with other people as an average Joe. Live a quiet simple life. Had to go to Mexico and now the dummy is six feet under. Nuff Said!!!
