Omar García Harfuch, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, reported that the clandestine monitoring center seized on January 21 in the Las Quintas neighborhood in Culiacán belonged to the Los Chapitos faction.

During the morning press conference on Tuesday, the federal official said that the building, which had a video surveillance system similar to the C4i, had been operating for three months.

“There were cameras installed, it is not the first one that has been dismantled, there are several houses that have been found, where around, imagine that it is a drug selling point or a safe house, like the others that have been dismantled, they have simple but effective cameras that observe the surroundings to see what authorities are there, this house had been operating for approximately three months, it has already been dismantled,” he said.

Monitors connected to cameras installed at strategic points in the city were found in the building.

  1. Chido. Now Trump will do something to fix the problem. He doesn’t do anything to stop the drug use but he will stop drug trafficking.

  6. Every cartel has similar set ups in the territories they control. They also have hawks or spys keeping a lookout for suspicious persons. The local police also work as lookouts for the cartel. Tourists have no idea that once in Mexico their every move is monitored. Everyone is on the take for the cartel including taxi Uber drivers and hotel employees. Even the old lady selling mangos from a fruit cart on the street. She is given a cartel number to call if she sees anything suspicious. When traveling to Mexico you need to be careful of who you hangout with and what you say. One wrong move and your dead meat! Nuff Said!!!
