Two civilians deprived from freedom freed and five men arrested with arsenal in Mazatlán: Sinaloa

Local and federal authorities achieved the release of two people who had been deprived of their freedom and the arrest of five men who were seized with an arsenal, drugs and armored vehicles in Tecomate de la Noria, in Mazatlán, during surveillance patrols.


According to the report, agents from the Secretariat of National Defense (Defensa), the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), the Attorney General's Office (FGR), the National Guard (GN), the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), along with the State Public Security Secretariat, were conducting security patrols when they located a property where they observed several people with long firearms and proceeded to carry out an inspection.

As a result, according to the report, five men were arrested and 15 long firearms, 110 magazines, 6,951 cartridges, one grenade launcher tube, three grenades, tactical equipment, radio communication equipment, one bag with marijuana, four bags with white powder and six vehicles, three of them with armored vehicles were seized.

Two men who were deprived of their liberty were also found at the site, and were given assistance and guided to file their respective complaints.
