Violent clashes continue to erupt in Elota, Sinaloa, as La Mayiza continues to wage war against La Chapiza Cartel. Moreover, in Elota, La Cruz, and San Ignacio, Sinaloa, have seen violent clashes since the start of the bloody civil war between former allies. Controlling the plazas mentioned would be a stepping stone to controlling Mazatlan, an undoubtedly profitable plaza for La Chapiza.
The following is footage of the clashes in Elota, Sinaloa, videotaped by La Mayiza or MF Group. La Chapiza appears to have suffered a defeat in that specific clash.

Cartels usually try to avoid tourist because it brings unwanted attention. If you want to buy a little coke have one of your hotel employees go buy it for you. Buy small quantities and make sure you tip really good. Keep your mouth shut about cartels. If asked say you don't know anything. While fishing if you catch a huge bundle of coke in the ocean instead of a fish you can open it up a little and take about half a pound with you. Close it up and throw it back in the ocean because cartels put gps tracking on drug bundles. If you follow my expert advice then you should be good my friend. Happy travels. Nuff Said!!!

DeleteWhile many claim the Sinaloa violence broke out in September, it started with the kidnapping and execution of the two Corrales brothers from Potrerillos left on the road in El Salto. This was retaliation for not joining the Chapitos against Los Mayitos. This war has divided those that were close to the old guys that cannot take on side over the other since they are all family! Great tragedy that the kids didn't listen and work it out before the carnage.
